The Westerville North Theatre Department's production of ANNE FRANK & ME plays Thursday 4/10, Friday 4/11 and Saturday 4/12 at 7pm in the WNHS Auditorium. Tickets are $6 and are available on-line at Westervillenorth.com and at the door.
The production is age appropriate for children 10 and up. A STUDY GUIDE is available for anyone in attendance or any teacher in the district that would like one. If students have studied the Holocaust, this play might be very intriguing to them. The multiple national award-winning new American classic production is about the awakening of a modern teen Holocaust denier. High School student Nicole Burns doubts the truth and cares even less, but ultimately comes face-to-face with the Holocaust, and—in an extraordinary sequence—meets Anne Frank in a cattle car on its way to Auschwitz. The play begins with Nicole in today's teen world of hip-hop dancing, unfinished homework assignments and young love. Along with Nicole, the audience is then transported back in time to Nazi-occupied Paris, a work camp in Auschwitz and then brought forward again to the light and hope of the present.
